It’s about a summer late for this to be timely, but everyone’s favourite local conceptual artist and amateur Dr. Zaius lookalike, John Baldessari, benefits from a pair of Mr. Cool shades on the cover of July/August’s artillery. His show at LACMA, Pure Beauty, is mandatory viewing for Angelenos and is up until September 12, if you haven’t gotten your conceptual sugar high yet.
Yes Dr. Zaius! So True. Not seeing the show is also a valid option.
It certainly is… It’s mandatory viewing, but I’m not necessarily recommending that one do so.
