In Which I Rant

Tomorrow is the last day to see my installation, Ragnarok Supply, at the El Camino College Art Gallery, but my portion of the artist talk is now up on the YouTube, for the ages. The video is pretty dim, but there’s a brief (and if you know me, this is the “Maximum Brevity” version of my usual spiel) clip of me talking about my piece. Enjoy.

  • Was it this ad? Or this one? That second one was apparently on page 217 of the January 1987 edition of Playboy.

  • I never remembered the eyepatch before. That ad is just a pile of “I’d like a horn here, here and here.”

Between global warming and planet Niburu and the Suns strangeness in recent years, I am at a loss to predict the future. So many mixed messages (just look at the opinions about 2012) and so many ways to perish.
Ask the aliens and they’ll only tell you what you want to know.
At least you have the hill with the bunkers inside it though that’s hardly a safe place during a polar shift. For more confusion read “Valis” it claims that we still actually exist in the Roman Empire and time stopped in 76AD.

  • Rich – I’m quite familiar with Dick’s Valis. I have pretty much everything he ever published on a shelf above my desk. I have a painting in my living room that’s a Bush Era interpretation of Dick’s idea that “The Empire Never Ended.” Nothing has really changed in terms of the human experience since then so it might as well still be 76 CE.
