Seen via LA Observed. Artweek has laid itself to rest, with its final issue being June, 2009. When I first started curating and organizing shows, Artweek was there to preview and review them. While Artweek had quality issues in the past few years, it was the only legitimate print attempt to link the West Coast, particularly Northern and Southern California into a distinct cultural region with its own dialogue.
