A Star is Born @ LACMA. Could anything be better on a hot Friday night than going to see a three hour long musical at the museum? At 7:30, $10.

PERFORM NOW @ Chinatown. Approximately twenty performances throughout the galleries and spaces. Probably the art highlight of an otherwise quiet weekend. Put on by ForYourArt, check their site for the schedule. 6-8 PM.
Tasty @ Java Man. Group show featuring Heather Anacker, Melissa Anacker, Hillary Bradfield, Satoe Fukushima, Won-Sook Kwak, Mark Lucero, Joey Majdali, Geoffrey Udo at Hermosa Beach’s last remaining funky place. 2-5 PM.
Cut Chemist & We Are The World @ The Getty. This event also features VJ Pimpadelic Wonderland from the Cinefamily. Saturdays off the 405, starting at 6. Free, but parking at the Getty now costs one unborn child.
Sunday, July 26
Clash of the Titans @ The Getty Villa. “Contains some mythological nudity”. How can you argue with that. Possibly the greatest “Kracken Releasing” film ever made and you know it, dammit. Trailer at top, worship it! 11 AM, free. Villa requires a reservation.
Lambada & The Forbidden Dance @ The Silent Movie Theatre. Part of Cinefamily’s Holyfuckingshit: Summer Camp, this duo of Golan & Globus produced films can only deliver what exactly what you expect. Starts at 8, $10.
