I mentioned this briefly in my Do The Weekend, but I wanted to give the thorough version of the what’s up for the event.
Post-Post-Apocalypse: Civilization
Post-Post-Apocalypse, an exhibition in three parts, will be closing on Saturday, January 17, with a final event, Civilization. Edith and I have built a house for ourselves inside of the Loft’s gallery, and we are inviting you to come visit us in our home, celebrate the return of civilization and the new year.
We’ll have special musical entertainment during the closing:
7-8:30 PM Special Guest DJ
8:30 PM Presenting Lou Mannick, saw musician extraordinaire
10 PM Clowns and Fetuses
On the visual side, there will be a continuous screening of Vanessa Renwick’s short film, Portrait #2: Trojan, and VJ MkUltra will be mixing video to suit the mood of the evening. Some special guest VJs from Rotterdam will also be coming to sit in on the set.
All visitors will get a complimentary commemorative T-shirt designed by Lisa Romero until supplies run out.
