Courtesy of C-Monster, The Independent has the scoop on Hirst’s pathetic efforts to control the derivative life of For The Love of God. Oh, and when did 16 year old kids in Britain who make collages get gallery representation? WTF is going on over there? Is the bar that low? Ally, please explain this to me, make this make sense.

crazy, ain’t it?
I can’t wrap my mind around it. It’s like a puzzle shaped like a water willy. Is Hirst actually threatened by this child on some sad, sad level?
It sounds like he is. Frankly, I don’t know how he can imagine he’s the first one to think of putting jewels on a skull? Has he not heard of the Catholic Church? How about Hot Topic?
I think the teenager has an online gallery– I don’t know anything about the quality of work they represent but this is utterly hilarious.
There was a show at the Royal Academy with an early piece by Hirst– a self-portrait of him holding a decapitated head of a corpse. I wish the family of that dead person would sue him, along with everyone else he’s ripped off over the years.
