Get to MOCA (the Geffen) for George Baker’s talk on Sunday. He’s turning his Q&A into an open forum on MOCA’s crisis. Talk starts at 3, and is free with admission. Lots of folks are likely to turn out, so arrive early.

Did you go? I saw a little article that mentioned armbands, speakers standing in the hole of Chris Burden and jokes about mass suicide for the sake of the collection…but thats just the sensational side of my mind recalling stuff. If you went I’d like to hear your spin. It the article did leave me thinking it was more a meeting for “awareness, solidarity and support” than anything information imparting. Which makes sense since it is a sensitive situation…and it’s good that people showed up with immediate concern as well.
…or your opinion if you didn’t go either…
I am hoping for a report from the front, as well.
I wasn’t able to attend on Sunday. I’ve been reading some of the articles about it, but none of them really tell me anything. I’m still waiting to interrogate some folks I know who were there on the event, but it looks a bit like a sleeper from what I’ve heard so far.
