No “Do The Weekend” this week, because I’m just pimping our show at Angels Gate, Forming. Forming is an exhibition of seven sculptors who I think are doing really solid work right now. The show features Michael Dee, McLean Fahnestock, Eric Johnson, Kiel Johnson, Nancy Kyes, Margaret Pezalla and Macha Suzuki.
Show opens this Sunday, November 16. Reception is 2-4 PM.
Forming has a Flickr set going that you can check out, too. That’s Macha hanging Halfway Home (Blue) in the downstairs part of the gallery.

Unrelated to this post, I tried the amazing beef Bronto ribs at Porky’s. I bow to your food porn wisdom, Marshall, they were spicy, tender, buttery-soft goodness the size of which I have never seen. Amazing.
I had them again the other day. I thought maybe the one rib I had the first time was some kind of crazy anomaly, but no, they’re consistently brontosaurus sized. And my dog loves the bones.
“No, Marshall just got one that was freakishly large” was exactly what I was thinking when I saw your pic. Then I got some. The leftover ones were to huge to fit in a gallon ziploc bag.
Congratulations on putting together such a great exhibition. It felt very cohesive and flowed rather well throughout the gallery space. You choice of artist worked out great as well as the various medias in which they all work. So now your on a roll, they keep getting bigger and better, great job Marshall, you should be very proud!!
