I was yammering about spokes the other day, without showing what they were. That’s Eric with a cast resin spoke. It’s cast in clear resin and hollow for light weight, and it’s going to be painted black in the final piece. There are sixteen of these, I think.

I can’t wait to see the whole thing assembled! It looks awesome. When is the piece scheduled to be displayed and at what gallery, please?
The piece will be on display at the Torrance Art Museum, starting September 6. Opening Reception is 7-10 PM. There’s also an artist talk with Eric Johnson on October 2, from 3-4 PM.
I am developing a community art project called OVA “Our Vital Art” in Berkeley California. I would like to meet Eric and talk about how he did his maze project in Torrence. Maybe we could have you work with our local artists and community members.
We’re building two new clinics in Berkeley, and want to incorporate community art. see http://www.lifelongmedical.org
Thanks!
