Oh man, that’s an intense eating experience. I’ve always heard about Balut and it seemed so disgusting (being vegetarian and all), I couldn’t understand it’s appeal. But after reading your description, I can totally see why it’s enjoyable to eat.
You need to go to Mexico and eat some ant eggs, grasshopers and agave maggots!

I’ve always wondered what that tasted and looked like, now I know. Oof, the images are strangely more disconcerting than the rats you ate some time ago, they made me feel queasy. Thus, I need to commend you for your excellent culinary report!
