Safari – Thanks for clarifying this issue. Everyone in Thailand who speaks English calls them iguanas, which is why I called them that. I’ve been aware for some time that they’re not iguanas, but no one so far has been able to tell me exactly what they are.

I think you’ll find that there are no iguanas in Thailand, however the species you do have here is a Blue-crested Forest Lizard Calotes mystaceus
