CA Finals - Meeson Pae Yang 2

Above - I finally got a decent picture of Meeson Pae Yang’s super impossible to photograph installation at the Brewery.
Well, after two weeks of being gentrified out of my studio, putting in a ton of work making sure that the Angels Gate Czech Printmaking Residency kicked ass (it does) and then later having my gentrification “accelerated” by the suprise robbery of my studio laptop and the remainder of my father’s coin collection (not to mention the rifling through of everything I own) by the herd of speed freaks that are now my ex-studio, ex-neighbors, I’m just about ready for a break… I think I’ve actually developed an ulcer from all the stress, too. No matter, my iron gut will recover, and what artist really needs a studio anyways?

I’m looking forward to sharing a quick beer with friends tonight, before going on this month’s extra spooky Ride-Arc ride, and then getting my ass up tomorrow to greet hordes of art scenesters at the Brewery Artwalk, which means I’ll be wearing a pair of ten pound pants and a heavily padded shirt for two full days, while putting back a ton of specially made malt liquor, which I’m sure will help me explain the nature of my piece or the exhibition as a whole. If my explanations don’t work, I can always turn to the knives to make my point.

Anyways - we’ll be at the Brewery Project ready to be judged and enjoyed, Saturday and Sunday 11 - 6. It’s the last chance to see the exhibition, we’re pack up the whole show on Monday (which I’m totally not looking forward to, as I just moved everything I own into storage, last week!).
